Five new businesses in Newton

There’s been some positive growth happening in the Newton BIA over the past couple of months. New businesses have opened up to serve our community, and we thought it would be a great time to share. Drop-in and introduce yourself to these stores, and you might just find your favourite place to shop, exercise, enjoy a salon experience and more.

If you’re renovating, and want your dream of a gourmet kitchen to happen, stop in at Premier Appliance Sales & Service first. All high-end brands, such as Bosch, Jenn-Air, Samsung, KitchenAid, LG, Maytag, Whirlpool, GE, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Sharp and more, are there, and many others are viewable in their new showroom 7619 King George Blvd.

They are a proud, Canadian-owned and family-operated business and are excited to be in the growing Newton area. They don’t just sell your favourite brand. They service them as well and offer extended warranty options on most appliances as well.

It’s been a while since the Red Rose left its location at 6914 King George Blvd., and Ambar Surrey Restaurant & Dhaba found its home, but reviewers tell us that it’s their new favourite place to enjoy authentic Punjabi cuisine. One review said that “giving five stars to the food will be an injustice to them.” High praise indeed for a restaurant! They offer sizzling paneer tikka, Matka kulfi, and most patrons are in love with the kulcha. Its extensive menu has something for everyone, including vegetarian and seafood lovers.

F45 Training has a proven record of success, and now the Newton community can take advantage of a place to improve their healthy lifestyle. The F45 Athletics Department comprises leading training professionals, athletes, and exercise scientists from around the world, all dedicated to the research, development, and implementation of F45 Training workouts. The Athletics Department provides new programming daily at the studio, ensuring members are constantly engaged, enjoying their activities and getting results. You’ll find them at 116-117 7218 King George Blvd., near Save-on-Foods at the south side strip mall.

For new residents of Canada from India, the State Bank of India (SBI) Canada Bank on 13767-72 Avenue provides a financially seamless move to Canada by having a bank account open quickly and conveniently. It also provides clients with an opportunity to securely wire funds to your bank account in Canada before they arrive. Once you are settled in, you’ll also discover there are an extensive range of products and services for personal and business banking. From offering one of the best rates on money transfers to mortgage options, there are some great new reasons to visit SBI.

Second Nature Beauty Collective — a new and fresh boutique salon in Surrey – specializes in colour correction, modern blonding/balayage, and vivid hair colours. They tell us, “We are all about good hair & good vibes!”

Their spotless and beautiful salon is off 68th at 6840 King George Blvd. Stylist Ashlee is a master of balayage, a French hair colouring technique where the colour is painted on the hair by hand instead of the old-school highlighting methods with foils and cap highlighting. The free-hand application allows a more natural and modern effect with subtle transitions between the chosen hues, whether blonde, brunette, red or unnatural colours, such as popular pastels and even neons.
