“You have start small, with community activities,” he said. “The community walk is an event that brings together the business community, residents, RCMP, the City of Surrey and local MLAs. It’s a time to come together to get to know their streets, to take their streets back,” he said.
He said Newton must take ownership of its future and community buy-in is crucial to ensuring the success of the neighbourhood’s future.
